Saturday - State Tournament !

So Saturday started off with the JV boys game first! They played a hard game but lost by four points! It was SO sad!:(

After the JV lost we were determined that the varsity was bringing home 1st!!! It was a very nerve wreaking game! The other team really expected to beat us, but we pulled it off! We were behind by 10 then came back to get ahead by 20, when they came back in the second half! It ended up going in to double over time!!! Our guys battled it out and at the end stood high by only four points!! At the sound of the buzzer we ran the court jumping and screaming!! It was SO much fun!:D Here are some pictures, thanks again to Sarah H.

I don't know if any of you read the Rebelution. It's a blog written by Alex and Brett Harris.

Anyway, one of their friends,Tyler Farver
was in a UTV accident a few weeks ago. He seemed to be doing better and better until Monday when he was moved back up to the ICU . His sister Hanna is keeping people updated on her blog. Please keep Tyler and his family in your prayers!

Tuesday, my Dad drove me and Nick ALL the way up to Greensboro! After two hours of driving we finally arrived! Thank goodness we won!I was finally able to take lots of pictures, here are just a few!:)

We have finally eaten all the leftovers! Today we get to go over and have Thanksgiving with my Mom's family. Sunday I will be posting a lot. I just don't have time right now. I went to bed at 12:30 and woke up at 7:00, So Anna is still really sleepy!:)

BTW, a lot of us have this cold and can't talk. So the one's that have it are going around whispering. (I have yet to get it, I think it is because I drink a lot of white tea and it helps to prevent colds.) I think the Taylor's gave it to us!;)

Well.....this was really just a lot of rambling, so I better go.

John Paul Taylor is HOME!!! Hooray!!
This was his last trip to Iraq, since he is getting out of the Marines in just a few months!
He left the same day Nick went in for his chest surgery, which was way back in April!

My week

Ok, so I realized that I have just been posted pictures this week and not really saying anything about what we've been doing. So here is what we did this week!

Monday : Music, My Dad went out of town for the week, Sarah had Bible study, and we went to my Grandparents.
Tuesday : We practice with a group that was chosen from DUSS to play for the DAC.
Wednesday : Sarah, Sam and I played at the DAC! It was very cool!
Thursday : Sarah, Nick and I went to the Taylor's to help them sort books. We had Bear and deer spaghetti, It was very good!
Friday : We went to my cousin's play, it was a musical version of "The Lion the Witch and the wardrobe."We did not get home until 12:00 am!
Today: I went to Duke with Sarah, while she taught some of her violin students and I practiced my violin, tonight, my grandparents and cousin are coming over for dinner.
Tomorrow : My cousin, David is coming to spend a "while" at our house.

Well..... that's all I can remember about this week.

Yesterday!!

I have some very good news!! First, I finished drivers ed!!!!:) YAY!!



Second, M. has been found and is on the way back to the orphanage! For more details you can go to Mrs. Mestas blog.

Yesterday, we drove to Cary to visit some of our really good friends! First we stopped by the Montgomery's house. They were our next door neighbors when we lived in Cary! It was really wried seeing were we use to live! It seemed so much smaller! We had a really nice visit with the Montgomery's. It's really strange to think at one time we lived right next door and would see them every day! It brought back some really good memories !!

After our visit with the Montgomery's we headed to the Barton's house. Mrs. Barton had a baby last week! He is SO cute!!

We brought them dinner and visited for about a couple hours. I had a lot of fun talking to Amy and Katherine. It was also, really good to see them! After that we headed home.

So that was my day yesterday. Right now we are in the middle of cleaning the house, so I have to go.

A rather large post on our trip, part deux

So remember at the start of my last post I said we had "enough warm clothes for an expedition to Antarctica"? Well this was not far from the truth. The funny thing was, although the week before we came had been quite cold, the whole time we were there we had experienced pretty mild weather. That is, until the day of our departure, Thursday. Thursday morning I woke up and was greeted by this view out the window near my bed:

It started snowing that morning and kept right on snowing for almost the whole day! We had become snowed in!

Snow fight! Olivia and Sarah went out to shovel the walk, except Olivia had an ulterior motive. As soon as Sarah had her back turned away, Liv, with her shovel full of snow clobbered poor Sarah.

Sadly the snow stopped Thursday night and the road crews were able to get the roads clear enough for us to head home. Seeing a significant amount of snow made me really wish we got some where we live. One more snow picture:
